Full Job Description

Al Dar University College is seeking a skilled and dedicated Programmer to join our dynamic IT team. This full-time role involves working closely with the service desk application incident queue, managing incidents, and ensuring smooth operations within our software development lifecycle (SDLC). The ideal candidate will be proficient in various programming languages and frameworks, possess strong problem-solving skills, and be able to work effectively within a team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Incident Management:

    • Continuously monitor the service desk application incident queue.
    • Work with affected end users to understand and resolve incidents.
    • Test solutions to ensure they effectively resolve issues.
    • Implement solutions into the production environment.
    • Document solutions within the service desk knowledge base for future reference.
  2. Application Development and Support:

    • Demonstrate a solid understanding of application design, development, testing, integration, and support within an SDLC framework.
    • Successfully resolve application defects and document solutions within the knowledge base.
    • Apply Quality Assurance methodologies to ensure the integrity and performance of applications.
    • Be detail-oriented and possess a demonstrated ability to take on complex tasks.
  3. Programming Expertise:

    • Be an expert in Python, with knowledge of at least one Python web framework such as Django or Flask, depending on the technology stack.
    • Have familiarity with some Object Relational Mapper (ORM) libraries.
    • Experience in mobile application development is a plus.

Required Skills:

  • ASP.NET & PHP:

    • Experienced in ASP.NET and PHP web development.
    • Excellent grasp of ASP.NET, PHP, HTML5, JQuery, CSS, Bootstrap, and SQL.
    • Ability to work on projects from specification through development to implementation, adhering to the SDLC.
  • Team Collaboration:

    • Comfortable working within a development team.
    • Open to learning new technologies and methodologies.
    • Development track record and quick learning skills are essential.

Education & Experience:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
