The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our IT security program, including engineering, threat and vulnerability tasks, identity management, information security management, and application security programs. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working three days in the office and two days from home.
Full Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead IT security projects, ensuring they meet project goals and timelines. This includes managing resources, both contractors and company employees, and providing 24/7 support when necessary.
- Daily IT Security Capabilities: Implement and support day-to-day IT security tasks, analyzing data, trends, logs, and reports. Present findings in a professional, organized manner.
- Guidance and Training: Offer guidance and training to less experienced IT security specialists, providing both technical and functional support.
- Technical Leadership: Establish technical and process-related documentation and references, ensuring the team follows best practices.
- Project Accountability: Take responsibility for project outcomes, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
Qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Work Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in IT security program implementation and support, including threat and vulnerability management, security management, and cyber security incident management.
- Proven ability to manage and lead resources effectively.
- Experience in developing, documenting, and maintaining security policies, processes, procedures, and standards.
Knowledge:
- Information Risk Concepts: Deep understanding of information risk concepts and principles, relating business needs to security controls.
- Management Frameworks: Familiarity with frameworks such as ISO 2700x, ITIL, COBIT, and NIST.
- Risk Assessment: Proficient in risk assessment methods and technologies.
- Technical Knowledge: Expertise in mainstream operating systems (MS Office programs, anti-malware solutions, automated policy compliance), and network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).
Skills:
- Multitasking and Critical Thinking: Ability to manage multiple tasks and make critical decisions.
- Independence: Capable of working independently and leading IT security projects.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to perform risk and business impact assessments.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer Focus: Strong focus on customer and client needs.
