An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Internal Audit Manager to join a leading organization based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of AED 5000 to 10000, catering to professionals who possess a solid background in internal auditing, especially those with experience from one of the Big 4 accounting firms. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the activities of the Internal Audit Unit to ensure an effective and efficient internal control system within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Development of Organizational Risk Management Plan:
As an Internal Audit Manager, you will play a crucial role in assisting the organization in developing a comprehensive Risk Management Plan. This involves identifying potential risks that could impact the organization's operations and financial health, and devising strategies to mitigate these risks effectively.
2. Planning and Conducting Audits:
You will be responsible for planning and executing various types of audits including financial, regulatory, compliance, and operational reviews. These audits are essential to ensure that the organization adheres to legal standards, industry regulations, and internal policies, thereby maintaining a robust control environment.
3. Evaluating Control Systems:
Periodic analysis and evaluation of the effectiveness of the internal control systems in place are vital. You will assess how well these controls mitigate risks and promote a control-conscious culture within the organization. This includes recommending improvements where necessary to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the control systems.
4. Conducting Performance and Special Audits:
Your role will involve conducting performance audits to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of various departments and processes. Additionally, you will be responsible for carrying out special audit investigations as required, either proactively or upon request by senior management or other appropriate authorities.
5. Liaison with Departments:
Effective communication and collaboration with all departments within the organization are essential to ensure a comprehensive and efficient auditing process. You will work closely with various teams to understand their operations, identify potential audit areas, and facilitate the smooth execution of audit activities.
6. Undertaking Additional Duties:
Flexibility and adaptability are key attributes for this role. You may be assigned additional duties from time to time, which could range from specific audit projects to broader organizational initiatives aimed at improving overall governance and control practices.
Experience & Knowledge:
- Big 4 Experience: Experience with one of the Big 4 accounting firms (Deloitte, PwC, EY, or KPMG) is mandatory. This experience provides a strong foundation in audit practices, methodologies, and standards, ensuring that you are well-equipped to handle the complexities of the role.
- Educational Background: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required. This educational background ensures that you have the necessary theoretical knowledge and analytical skills to perform effectively.
- Professional Qualifications: Possession of professional qualifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), or an equivalent certification is highly desirable. These qualifications demonstrate your commitment to the profession and your expertise in internal auditing.
